Phee Ta Khon is an the ghost festival held annually in Loei
Province, Thailand. Phee (Ghosts) are good spirits that
are believed to have accompanied the Buddha on his last life
incarnation send off. The festival ceremony is held
annually in respect to the spirits and merit making and praying
for abundance and good fortune for the year. For example,
abundance rainfall for rice harvesting, etc.
